the proposal is good. i think it would be really interesting for a lot of parents, and could spark good dialogue about their kids. logistically - you could try contacting some of the parent resource centers in your area (they do exist in ontario, i worked with them in ottawa), or offering it through your library or something.
about the wind - try to think of it differently --- feel the sheer exhilaration of having something so much stronger than you pushing you along... i think it's the closest some of us get to other people's vision of a higher power. and sometimes it feels good to relinquish control.
